Alex Flinner

A Lighting Designer based in Duluth MN, Alex specializes in enhancing moments through lighting to sculpt and inspire. Associate Artist leading Lighting and Sound Design at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Theater Department, he has also Designed Lighting and Sound for many organizations including: Lyric Opera Of the North (LOON), The Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, The Minnesota Ballet, Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company (GSVLOC), The Duluth Playhouse, and many more including area High Schools. In 2017 Alex won Broadway World’s Minneapolis Regional Award for Lighting with GSVLOC’s The Gondoliers. Alex also dabbles occasionally as a bass player in regional ensembles while moonlighting as a  consultant for Lighting system upgrades.
