LOON’s end-of-the-season fundraiser!

Please join us for Lyric Opera of the North’s Virtual Summer Sparkler! Enjoy singing, visits with friends, and a look ahead to a new season of opera.

If, for any reason, you have to join us late or can’t make it, don’t worry – you won’t miss out. Video of the entire event will be available to watch online through August 21st.

Hosted by rising stars Sadie Cheslak and Georgia Jacobson, with pianist Bill Munson. 

The Summer Sparkler starts at 6:30pm with a Happy Half Hour. Get your snacks, gather your beverage ingredients (and measure them ahead of time with the recipe, below), and enjoy a highlight reel of fabulous LOON memories.

At 7:00pm, settle in for the main event which features gorgeous singing, visits with friends, a look ahead to a new season of opera, and, of course, fundraising!

Keep watching when the credits roll – Just like at a Marvel movie, you don’t want to miss what might be included there!

How to Donate:
1. Write a check, payable to LOON, and mail to: 525 South Lake Avenue, Suite 102, Duluth, MN, 55802
2. Donate securely online by clicking the DONATE NOW button in the upper right corner of your screen
3. Call 218-464-0922 and LOON staff will process your donation over the phone

Strawberry Gin Sparkler Ingredient List
For each drink you will need:
1-2 sprigs Fresh Mint
2-3 Fresh Strawberries
3/4 oz. Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Simple Syrup*
1 & 1/2 oz. Vikre Cedar Gin (also delicious without alcohol)
Ice – some in your shaker, some in your glass
Sparkling Water – enough to top off your drink

Supplies Needed:
Shaker (any jar with a lid will do)
Muddler (a wooden spoon will do)
and of course a glass to drink out of!

*You can make your own simple syrup by dissolving equal parts of sugar and water together to make a syrup
