Marni Raab
As an actress, Marni Raab is best known for her extended run as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. She has also toured in the role throughout North America and Asia. Other performance credits include Cats, Carousel, My Fair Lady, The Secret Garden, Camelot, concert engagements, and an original one-woman show featured here at LOON’s Red, White, & LOON, and at LA’s Show at Barre. Marni holds a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin Conservatory and an MA in theater history and criticism from Brooklyn College. Directing and dramaturgy credits include Seton Hall University Theater Department’s Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling (South Orange PAC) and Kathleen Tolan’s Approximating Mother (2019), Natural Shocks (reading) by Lauren Gunderson (Midtown Direct Rep), Jason Loewith and Joshua Schmidt’s Adding Machine: A Musical with B-Side Productions (June Havoc Theater), and Belleville by Amy Herzog (Brooklyn College). Marni served for three seasons as Literary Manager for Midtown Direct Rep, where she programmed and co-produced a developmental play reading series. Marni is currently a story analyst for Amazon Studios, and a faculty member at The Institute for American Musical Theatre in NYC (@IAMusicalTheatre) Love always to Mike, Griffin, Noah, and Avery.
