Anna Donnelly

Anna Donnelly is a professional singer and teaching artist based in Chicago, IL. She has performed with leading ensembles, including the Lyric Opera of Chicago Chorus, Chicago Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and Chicago Opera Theater. In the summer of 2023, Anna was a Young Artist with Finger Lakes Opera, where she appeared as the Voice of the High Priestess in Aida and portrayed Sarah in the world premiere workshop of Two Corners by Brittany Boykin and Jarrod Lee. 

Her professional credits also include performances with Lyric Opera of the North, Finger Lakes Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Miami Music Festival, and Bloomington Chamber Opera. Notable roles include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Gianetta in L’elisir d’amore

Anna earned a Master of Music in Voice Performance and a Graduate Certificate in Vocology from Indiana University in 2022. During her time at IU, she performed several operatic roles, including Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Drusilla in L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Soeur Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites, and participated in numerous opera choruses. 

In 2023, Anna launched her private teaching studio in Chicago and joined the faculty at Harold Washington College, where she teaches applied voice.
