Alexander Ritchie
Baritone Alex Ritchie is a doctoral student at the University of Minnesota serving as the graduate teaching assistant for UMN Opera Theatre, where he recently appeared as Frank Maurrant in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene and Figaro in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. He has performed throughout Minnesota, including appearances with Minnesota Opera, Skylark Opera Theatre, Mill City Summer Opera, An Opera Theatre, Source Song Festival, and the Saint Cloud Symphony Orchestra. Concert appearances include Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, and Vaughan Williams’s Serenade to Music with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Ritchie has taught voice and musical theatre at K&S Conservatory, Stillwater Area High School, and International Music Camp, and he was selected for the 2025 cohort of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Intern Program. He received his M.M. from the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance and his B.A. from Harding University.
