Lyric Opera of the North has strong ties with The Phantom of the Opera. In 2005, Colder by the Lake wrote Phantom of the NorShor, which starred LOON’s founder, Ruth Jacobson, alongside Cal Metts and Sarah Lawrence, LOON’s current General Directors, and a host of other LOON regulars. At that time, Sarah Lawrence was also a member of the Third National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera. She played Christine Daaé on the National Tour as well as in the Las Vegas Company.

LOON’s upcoming production of Cavalleria Rusticana will be directed by Marni Raab. A current member of the Phantom company on Broadway, Ms. Raab is one of the longest-running Christines on Broadway. Ms. Raab also sang the role of Christine Daaé in the Asia tour and the Third National Tour in the United States. She will join gathered ‘phans’ via a special video message on the 16th.

Party attendees are invited to come as they are or wear their favorite merch, phantom mask, or full costume. In addition to music there will plenty of ‘phan’ based frivolity including a photo booth and chandelier piñata.
