LOON COR debut performance

Please join us on Saturday, June 4^th for the debut performance of Lyric Opera of the North’s new professional ensemble, LOON COR.

This ensemble will take many shapes in the years to come, meeting the evolving needs of Lyric Opera of the North in myriad ways, while providing opportunities for musical growth and performance for a growing number of classically trained singers who call this region home. We look forward to LOON COR members singing in small ensembles out and about in the community, appearing in solo roles in LOON operas, and alongside other chorus members in the LOON opera chorus. At least once a year they will gather for an evening like this one, where the star of the program is the sound of these united voices.

Led by Dr. Michael Fuchs, this concert is a celebration of singing. We will hear pieces by Ukrainian composer Dmitry Bortniansky and Minnesotan composer Dominick Argento, to name just a couple, plus a sneak peek or two from Hansel & Gretel.
