Teresa Vaughan
Teresa Vaughan has worked extensively as a collaborative pianist and pedagogue. Teresa received her Master of Music in piano performance from the University of Toronto where she studied with Midori Koga and Jamie Parker. Originally from the West Coast of Canada,Teresa’s performances have taken her from Victoria to Halifax and from San Antonio to Duluth. She has collaborated with a variety of instrumentalists, including VIVID, a flute/piano duo she co-founded and a number of choral ensembles. Teresa was the pianist for Wallace Halladay’s saxophone studio at the University of Toronto for six years and a staff accompanist for the Toronto Children’s Chorus. She was on faculty at the University of Toronto Children’s Piano Pedagogy Program and maintained a private studio. After nearly a decade away from performing, Teresa has recently re-entered the music world as a free-lance pianist. She was a rehearsal pianist for LOON’s 2022 production of Hansel and Gretel and a pianist for LittleLOON’s 2023 production of The Pirates of Penzance. She also started the Lunch with Friends noontime concert series at The College of St. Scholastica for the 2022-23 season.
