Spencer McIntire

Based in Kansas City, Baritone Spencer McIntire is excited to be making his debut with Little Opera of the North. In addition to performing as the Father/Witch in Little Opera of the North’s production of Hansel and Gretel, Spencer will also be performing the role of Frank in Music on Site’s production of Die Fledermaus and Dick Deadeye in Opera Kansas’s production of H.M.S. Pinafore later in the 22-23 season.

Spencer recently completed his Master’s and a Performer’s Diploma at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Peter Volpe. While at IU, Spencer was seen on the IU Opera Theater stage as Dashwood in Little Women and Dick Deadeye in H.M.S. Pinafore. He completed his Bachelor’s at Kansas State University, where he was seen onstage as various Daters in Michael Ching’s Speed Dating Tonight! and as the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance. Other roles include Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), King Melchior (Amahl and the Night Visitors), and Don Isaacar (Candide).
