Mark Daniel Hakes
Mark Hakes (they/them) earned their Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with minors in History and German from Stetson University in DeLand, FL, their Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and their Master of Science in Teaching from The College of St. Scholastica. Mark currently works as the Assistant Director of Campus Ministry at The College of Saint Scholastica where their work is focused on helping students delve into spirituality, participate in service and justice work, and engage in discernment of identity, values, and vocation. In addition to their paid work, Mark is active at the intersection of faith and queerness and engaged in justice and liberation work. Mark continues to be deeply engaged in the Twin Ports musical community; teaching voice as an adjunct at The College of St. Scholastica, singing with Twin Ports Choral Project and Lyric Opera of the North, serving as a cantor at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, and performing as a soloist on occasion.
