Luke Williams
Luke Williams, bass-baritone, has been described in performance as “masterfully communicative”, “powerful”, and “menacing and moving”. A versatile singing actor, accomplished in both classic and contemporary repertoire, Dr. Williams was most recently featured in the 2019 Skylark Opera production of Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte after performing the role of Hannah (before) in As One during the 2017-2018 season. While earning his doctorate in vocal pedagogy and performance the the University of Colorado he appeared with the Colorado Symphony in concert performances in addition to the full productions of The Music Man and Tosca. Other onstage highlights include his performances with Opera Delaware in Il barbiere di Sivilgia, and the Utah Festival Opera in productions of Les Miserables, The Student Prince, Otello, and Faust. Dr. Williams has been a featured soloist with the Middle America Freedom Band, Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Boulder Chamber Orchestra, and the Delaware Valley Chorale, and previously served on the faculty of the University of Central Missouri as the Director of Opera and Artist in Residence, and the voice faculty of St. Olaf College.
