Logan Barat
Logan Barat is a Bel Canto trained Opera singer from St. Paul Minnesota, earning a Bachelors in Vocal Performance in 2018 from Concordia College in Moorhead and his Master’s in Opera Performance in 2020 at Wichita State University. In 2018 he won the North Dakota/Manitoba district Metropolitan opera national council auditions, and took 1st place for senior men’s classical voice in Minnesota NATS. He performed with the Ohio Light Opera in 2019 as a Resident Young Artist, and was selected as one of the prestigious Santa Fe Apprentice artists in 2020, though it was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Logan has performed several leading roles in operas and musicals including Deiter in the North American Premiere of Adam Gorb’s The Path to Heaven, Sam Kaplan in Street Scene, Ferando in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte, Fredrick Trumper in Chess, Alfred in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, and Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Logan has recently been seen singing as the Tenor Soloist in MacPhail’s Carmina Burana, on the MN Opera stage as the Prune Vendor in their production of La Bohemé, and at the St. Croix Valley Opera on the River vocal competition where he took 2nd place. Logan is looking forward to making his debut with Lyric Opera of the North as the Prince in their production of Dvořák’s Rusalka.
