John Novak

John began his career as a stage manager in opera, touring with Minnesota Opera, and working for companies in Saint Louis, Boston, Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Tulsa. But after five years he jumped into theater in Minneapolis.  Since then, he has contributed to more than 125 productions at the Jungle Theater, as stage manager and/or properties designer. Recently he’s had the opportunity to stage manage for Artistry Theater, The Playwrights’ Center, Theater Latté Da, Frank Theatre, and The Moving Company, and to design props for productions at Skylark Opera Theatre, Park Square Theatre, and Ten Thousand Things. He and his spouse, the creator and performer Bradley Greenwald, make their home in the Central neighborhood of Minneapolis.
