Elsa Persson

Elsa Persson is a young performing artist specializing in theatre and opera. Graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a BA in Music and a BFA in Acting in May 2025, Elsa is moving to and beginning her professional career in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota this summer. She has worked on a variety of performances around Duluth in her time living here as an undergraduate student, both at UMD and with companies such as LOON, the Duluth Playhouse Underground, and Twin Ports Choral Project. She has received awards and honors such as being a winner of the Young Artist Competition with the Mesabi Symphony Orchestra, a Semi-Finalist of the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Competition, and being selected as the soloist for the UMD Class of 2025 Graduation Commencement Ceremony .
With two LOON shows under her belt, Elsa is excited to return to the stage for another! She was in the chorus of La Bohème and Cavalleria Rusticana. Other recent credits of Elsa’s include playing Fräulein Schneider in Cabaret, Trinculo in The Tempest, Anna Maurrant in Street Scene, Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, all at UMD, as well as Chorley and Claudie Viardot in Notes on Viardot at Music On Site Inc., and being in the cast of two plays in the What She Said New Play Festival at the Duluth Playhouse Underground.
