Jennifer Robbins
Jennifer Robbins is delighted to make her debut with the Lyric Opera of the North. Praised by the Boston Globe for her “drop-dead coloratura virtuosity,” and singled out for her “remarkable debut” with the Chicago Opera Theater by Opera Magazine (UK), Jennifer’s past productions and projects include There Is a Garden: a Tribute to Leonard Bernstein (Chicago Opera Theater) and the Musical Theatre Writer’s Workshop at New York City’s famed Actors Studio. From 2004 to 2008 Jennifer sang with the Grammy award-winning ensemble Conspirare, directed by Craig Hella Johnson, performing on their recording Requiem (2006 twice-nominated Grammy album).
She is currently a member of Duluth-based chamber choir, the Twin Ports Choral Project, and recently performed as the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. Jennifer is associate artistic director of the Lake Superior Youth Chorus and music teacher at Cathedral School in Superior. She and her husband, Richard, have five beautiful children.
